Couple of RL Questions

Hey guys, I'm looking at some '05 RL's... a few dumb questions which I can't seem to find.

1. What color is this, isn't listed on the acura website, a color only for '05?

The owner told him it was blue....

2. Is navi optional in ALL RL's? Was the "technology" package available in 2005? I think the Acura website is somewhat misleading, it lists navi as part of the technology package, but not in the standard interior features...

Finally, seen some of those chrome RL wheels... not a fan, anyone want to trade for the normal alloys?

1. Color is Meteor Silver Metallic. It looks light blue metallic.

2. All 2005 and 2006 RLs have navigation standard. The 05 had no Tech package as an option. It didn't have any options except dealer installed accessories.

You should not have a problem finding someone to trade stock wheels for the chromes. I have an 05 RL white pearl with factory chrome wheels. I really like the chrome wheels. The 2nd generation RL is a great car. GOOD LUCK!

Keep in mind that the tech package in '07 is different than the tech package in '06.

'06 Tech - ACC, CMS & Runflats

'07 Tech - Navigation, Adaptive headlights, back-up camera, along with more.

I like that color. Would look even better with tinted windows! I would like to see one up close to see if the color in the picture translates well to real life.

Meteor Silver has been discontinued in '07, I believe. So it's only '06 and '05 RL's that have it.

Oh, and while you're looking at '05 RL's, you should probably know that you can still find '06 leftovers at around $40K. At that price, I think it's hardly worth buying used....

Good deal? Depends on your own situation.

But if you're going to finance it, you'll find a new '06 will finance for longer and at better rates than a used '05.

Note also that 29,000 of the "warranty miles" have already been used up, so unless you buy an extended warranty (pricey and not always a good deal), you'll be on your own a lot sooner as respects repairs.

Ditto for tires. It probably has the original rubber, so plan on spending a grand for new tires before too long.

Last but not least, some of the '05's had problems that were apparently addressed in the '06 model, so that may be a small consideration.

I would personally pay the extra to go with a new '06 and just enjoy it longer.

Deal or no deal?! NO DEAL! More then 1/2 your warranty is gone on a (18 months?!) used car. As previously mentioned, you can still find an '06 for $40K.

^ I'll be paying cash, so financing doesnt make a difference. Also I'll see if I can find some more 2005's...not toooo excited about this bluish/silver one based on the picture.... looking for a lower mileage 2005. Found a local Honda selling a 2006 with tech package & under 7k miles.... I shot him an offer of 34.5k otd. He's going to call me back, but I'll update you guys. It's black on black. Been wanting a black car for awhile... and I don't mind keeping it clean. thanks guys for the advice so far....

Price is not bad, but it seems they fixed a few issues with the 06, so I'd try and get a new one or a low miles '06 if possible.
