Hey all i have a couple questions. First, is there suppose to be a light in the auto & dual button for my climate control? How bout on the driver side heated seat buttons? Or on the driver side door locks button that you press up and down to lock and unlock all the doors? I am guessing there is suppose to be but i didnt wanna go to the dealer and bug them until i was sure. Also there are 2 greyish looking things on the roof of the car 1 in the front and 1 in the back. They have little holes in the middle of them. The one in the back is right in front of the lights. What are those for? Last do i really need new tires already? I just got the car and it was certified and it seems like my tires are bad if i am taking a corner sometimes it feels as if the car is sliding to the right or left. Doesn't happen often but it does happen. And my brakes feel like they are gone already and my rotors need to be cut. Since the car is certified is all that suppose to basically be brand new? I hope so cause if not i will need to go take care of that soon. 2 weeks after i got the car the B1 light came on in the car and i called the dealer and they said just reset it and ignore it because they took care of that before i picked the car up. Last question is(sorry i know its alot) can i take it to any acura dealer to have it serviced or would i have to take it back to the original dealer i bought it from to have it serviced. I am guessing another dealer will charge me for everything and the original dealer(if all these issues are suppose to be covered) would take care of it for free.

 

Yes, all buttons are lighted. Have no idea what you are talking about concerning the things on the roof. You should have a shark fin on the back for the OnStar. The XM antenna is in the back glass. If you car was certified the tires should be good for quiet a long time. How many miles are on the car? I am sure the selling dealer will take care of all your concerns for free or under warranty.

 

37000 and the things on the roof are on the inside not outside, sorry should have mentioned that before.

 

Those are the microphones for the Noise Canceling system and the Bose AudioPilot. With only 37,000 miles everything is covered by the warrrany except normal maintenance items like wipers, tires, brake pads, etc. and can be handled by any Acura dealership. When you buy a certified used Acura everything should have been checked since you pay a premium for a certified car.

If you put your thumb over the microphone, you can hear the low rumbling sound that the active noice canceling system...well...cancels. Pretty cool.

Although with a certified car you can have all of those things (other than the normal maintenance items noted by Rexorg) addressed by any Acura dealer, I'd go to the selling dealer first and give him to opportunity to address the issues as they should have been taken care of during the certificaiton process.

A friend of ours bought a certified TL a couple of years ago and her transmission went out away from home. The local acura dealer took the TL, gave her a loaner, and once the car was fixed (more than a week later), delivered it to her home and picked up the loaner.

Yes, but some, particularly the steering wheel controls (at least on mine - but still better than my '04 MDX where they aren't lit at all), are not very bright. You may want to visit a good dark area and check again.
