I am considering doing the front lip portion of the aspec kit. I have seen the lip itself online fora bit over 400. If I had a shop install it, what should I expect to pay?

Is it hard to install myself? I am fairly handy.... But don't want to tackle it and find out its over my head. Not sure how long of a job it is...

Just get a six pack of Corona's and do it yourself. You might feel better afterwards. Some shop here charge an average of 1 hour of labor or $120.00

 

I called my local Acura dealer... where my car is normally serviced. the service advisor claiemd it would be a $300 job.

I called the next closest Acura dealer... they told me they don't install the body kits, but outsource them to a local body shop.. they gave me the contact info... I gave them a call... they indicated they install TONS of Acura OEM kits...and quoted me $150 to install the front lip.

I believe I can get the front lip only for about $400 online.

I will probably put this on....then lower it on H&Rs ... and they figure out what kind of wheels I want.. 18s/19s.... I like the prices on 18s.. but 19s look sweet.

won't the mugen front lip cost like 2-3x as much??

my understanding is the mugen kit needs to be painted, and imported from Japan...

for my needs/wants.. I think the aspec front lip is the better bang for the buck... i'm looking to do just the front lip, not the whole kit... I've seen supergreen's car here, and he had the front lip with only the mudflaps on the wheel wells..and his car looked really nice.... at least to me.. others felt he needed the whole kit...

it's all subjective.... but i don't want to drop $1000 for a lip spoiler...

 

...yeah, I think the ASPEC lip is the ticket: comes in the right color, bolts on in 30 minutes, looks great, readily available, etc...

I saw Supergreen's car and I liked it. I'd put that lip on the front of mine if I could be sure I'd be able to get up my curb cut with it.
