I was looking into this at one point, but didn't really follow through w/ it because I felt that my HIDs w/ the OSRAM CBIs were bright enough.

The differences that I've found between the AFS & non-AFS headlights were the box gear (33119-SJA-A01) which controls the turning of the headlight and is missing in the non-AFS headlight. You'll also need the switch (35825-SJA-A02) which will turn off the AFS.

I never had a chance to look at the wiring diagram but I would think it's plug and play. If you look below your headlight you'll notice a plug taped up not used for anything. I believe this is for the box gear. The switch will activate the AFS sign on the dash. As you already found out by installing the NAV that Honda was lazy in creating new wiring and plugs between the tech & non tech.

Ur lucky u don't have it. The day it goes bad, the blinking AFS light on the instrument cluster will drive you crazy.
