Considering a used 07 RL tech

Hey everybody. I am considering trading in my 07 TL navi
With 45000km towards a 07 RL tech with 77000km.

What should I look for and what should I get the dealer to take
Care of?

With the mileage at that level should I be concerned with anything ?

i've done a search...it doesnt look like a feasible trade up:

1. i've got a 3yr old munchkin and the TL rear legroom is amazing!

2. fuel usage... RL having a larger tank capacity sucking up premium.. i'd think the TL was alot more fuel efficient. Average is about 525-540km to a full tank. RL fuel usage is about the same as a turbo RDX.

3. RL amenities are what i'm seeking... bose stereo, power rear sunshade, smoother ride, AWD... but might not be enough to justify?

thoughts?

stay with the TL unless AWD is the only option pushing you towards the purchase.

def don't want to trade a car in for a car that has about a 30k mileage difference because of what it has ...keep it i almost made the same mistake ..DON'T DO IT ..The RL has damn near the same amount of space as the TL takes more gas as you know ..It's really not worth it ..unless you get a good deal on one with about the same amount of miles as yours currently have ..you still have 30 k to go before you get to that RL's mileage if you get the RL in 30k you will be at 100k..Stop think about it ...

thanks for the advice folks. My TL has a seperate set of OEM rims bundled with blizzaks so the AWD is not really relevant if it was pertaining to winter conditions.

It's a shame though.. i see so many 3G TLs on the road and once every few months I would spot a 2G RL. it's definitely one of my dream cars but unfortunately i wont be able to get into one. guess i'll wait for a 3G RL to drop in price in a few years.

as you can see by my 'collection' of previously owned ACURAs..i am very loyal to the brand.

Most were leases that were transferred when i got bored..but current TL is purchased.

i know how you feel my current TL is purchased and i looked to trade it in on 2 occasions once for an older model bmw with 40k then a lease for the new M ..but the one thing that kept sticking in my head was you OWN your car it has low miles still has factory warranty for a long time why trade it in for a older model car that you have to purchase extended warranty on immediately or better yet why trade it in having full ownership to lease ..but when you are a car fanatic you just want what you want but sometimes you gotta sit back and see if it's really worth it..at the end of the day as most people you will make the choice that you feel best suits you and your wants so whatever chioces you make...HOPE IT ALL WORKS OUT ...

Hate to break it to you, but that first car isn't an Acura. No offense or anything, just FYI.
