Color Scheme in Display

I just bought my 2005 RL on the 3rd of August so please forgive me if my question is a bit elementary.

Before I start it's important to note that I haven't been able to use my Nav yet because the dealer gave me the wrong disc (I have made an appointment to fix this along with a couple of other issues).

When using the "Driver 1" key I get a different color scheme (Blue and Purple OR Red) and when using the "Driver 2" key I get only blue.

When I press the button to change from daylight to night the color changes from Blue\Purple to Red with the "Driver 1" key.

When I perform the same action with the "Driver 2" key the screen goes from on to off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Press the "Set Up" button ---> Push the control dial to the right to select "More" ---> Scroll down to "Colors"

The color scheme is part of the profile information stored for the separate keys, and can be changed in that menu for whichever key is active at that time.

Thanks so much for the advice. Unfortunately, I don't have the "More" option but I assume that it's because my Nav DVD is no good and won't boot. This should get fixed soon and I'll give it another shot.

Thank you again for replying so quickly!

Hmmm... perhaps. However, just in case, go back and check (not sure a bad Nav DVD would affect the options like that). The "More" option isn't one selectable by spinning the dial, it actually requires the dial to be pressed to the right. It shows this on the upper right corner of the screen (not in the main list of selectable options).

I believe the More button is only active if Navi is on. Thus, no Nav DVD, no "More"

Thanks again for all of your help. I did check again and wasn't able to get the "More" button. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait and see once I bring the car in on Monday. There's a couple of things they need to look at anyways, including the passenger seat that won't recline for some reason.

On a side note, has anyone experienced shaking when braking, even lightly, from high speeds? I'll have them look at this too but wanted to see if this was common.

Thanks!

So, i just got back from the dealer.

Brakes were replaced and are in good working order.

Navi hard drive was replaced and I assume it is in good working order. My DVD got jammed and wouldn't come out so it was destroyed in the process of removal. At least I get the latest DVD now!

Just wanted to thank everyone again who helped me out with their responses
