climate control sync / fog lights
climate control sync / fog lights
Is there a way to adjust the driver and passenger's temp at the same time? There is a sync button the TSX, but none to be found on the RL. The manual only tells how to adjust independently.
Also, is there an easy way to turn the fog lights on without the headlights?

foglights no there is not a way to do it unless you make your own wiring harness to make it work independently on its own circuit
I would bet it is still there, but buried behind a menu.
To the OP, what happens if you just change the temp on passenger side, does Driver side change a well? If Driver's does not change, that would confirm feature is still there.

I don't follow your logic.
I agree that not having a dual button isn't ideal. However, I would trade the dual button for the fan speed and fan mode in a heartbeat. The A/C control is my biggest gripe about the RL which says a lot about the car.

007 - My logic?
In the RLs with dual button, you can put it into dual mode without touching that button by doing as I said, that is just change temp on passenger side. The Dual button light will go on and the passenger side changes independent of Driver's side. To reset to non-dual mode, you then have to touch the Dual button.
I'm thinking that Acura agrees with you and hid "Dual" under mode and put fan speed to a button.

getakey, the issue with the MMC is that dual mode is default. Changing either side does not affect the other. Dual mode is definitely a feature, the only question is can it be turned off?
Looked up the voice commands and "temperature dual mode on" adjusts the driver's side to 84 while the passenger side stays at Lo. "temperature dual mode off" sets the driver's side to 82 while the passenger side stays at Lo. Temperature max cold does work as both go to Lo. Passenger temperature 60 sets only adjusts the passenger's temp.

The voice commands suggest that "Temperature # degrees" will set both and "Temperature Dual Mode Off" will set the passenger temp to the driver's. Are you saying this is not the case?
I'll be glad when the manufacturers get over the "less buttons is better" implementation but it will only happen if the complaints keep coming in. Software/menu control is cheaper to implement so they won't be in a hurry.
A lot of buttons can be daunting to the casual driver but when you are familiar with the car then it is much faster and you don't have to worry about hitting the wrong button on the touch-screen or the bitch interpreting your syntax via the voice controls.
