Chrome molding on front of car question
Yes. I searched.
This is the link in the thread I searched.
2006 Acura RL 4 Door RL KA 5AT Front Grille - AcuraPartsWarehouse.com
The question I have is the color.
I am needing the pieces In this picture.
The molding on my car is Chrome but when I go to buy the replacement pieces it is listed as Avant Garde Grey.
I can't seem to find chrome molding anywhere.
So is the Grey actually Chrome or do these pieces come painted grey OR chrome?
#1 in that link is listed as metallic mirror while #2 is listed as Grey.
I am assuming metallic mirror is Chrome

I have found it in a couple places but it always says 2007-2008
I can not find it anywhere in chrome for the 2006 model.
MOLDING, FRONT GRILLE (MIRROR METALLIC). (MIRROR METALLIC). FRONT for Acura RL (2007 - 2008). #71122-SJA-A00ZB

I have never seen an RL with a different color for those parts than "chrome". All 2005-2008 models will use the same part though.

The pieces on the side of the bumper come painted so they each have their own part number depending on the color of your car about $110 each. you need to put your VIN in to get the right part numbers...
Acura Parts | Genuine Acura OEM Parts | Acura Parts Cheap
I replaced all 4 on my bumpers as well as that chrome piece on the grill when I got my RL

You can see the chrome and the painted to match color (Obsidian Black Pearl)
The lower part comes color matched to your vehicle. Each paint code has a separate part number. This is one of the 4 pieces for a 2008 RL

What color is your car?

Have all of those pieces covered with Xpel or 3M Paint Protection Film and you will never have to replace them again. This includes the ones on the rear bumper.

I plan to have my bumpers wrapped soon with clear bra once weather warms but unsure how to make this look clean given all the reveals in the piece.

No, I had my corner protectors covered separately before I installed them. Any PPF you have installed should be cut from a pattern, don't know if it covers the corner protectors or not.

Is it very blue or just kind of blue? Very blue, dark blue, is Opulent Blue Pearl. Baby blue is Meteorite Silver Metallic. Even Carbon Grey can appear blue in certain lighting. Wikipedia has color tables.

I purchased my 2005 RL in okay condition, but I would like to purchase the chrome moldings for my car because they show wear and tear on them. I was wondering if replacing the moldings are as easy as it seems? Its to just snap in and out of place.

Yes. Start from the sides of the car, pry up, and move towards the center.

FINALLY figured out the issue.
Part # for #2 is
71122-SJA-A00ZA
CHROME is
71122-SJA-A00ZB
The one ending with A is the Avant Garde Grey.

I found an easy and cheap fix. I got chrome vinyl wrap off eBay 12x60 for like $5.00 and cut what I needed laid it on and used a heat gun to smooth it out with a squeegee and utility knife to cut the excess and it looks like brand new. I'm going to do my bumper chrome next.

I've have a roll that's 40 inches long by 2 feet wide I'll give someone if they want to try it. it's missing a 1"x2" at one corner, but the vinyl is good.
Just shoot me like $7 for shipping...

What did you do to your corner pieces?
It looks like you painted them but it also looks like you put a camera or something in the middle of them. Or is that just a bolt?
That is the exact same car I have except mine does not look as good

I removed the trim to paint them. I don't recommend leaving them off, there's holes where the tabs secure and it make the car look incomplete.
If you do remove them, remove the bumper enough to get behind it and push the tabs out. The plastic was old and brittle so I broke some pieces pulling on it. Same for the rears

While I replaced both front ones with OEM purchased parts, middle of the lower grill piece I decided to black plasti-dip it, and I don't have pictures now but it looks pretty nice and quite different, yet unnoticeable.
Just disassembling the grill pieces is an adventure on its own, so I figured I go with the quickest, cheapest and imperfect solutions that works.

bumper protector replacement
I'm replacing all 4 bumper protectors/chrome molding & had question about the related hardware (clips, screws & spacers that hold bumper protectors in place)
Can I use existing clips & screws or do I need to replace said hardware along with bumper protectors/chrome molding?

If they don't break, you can reuse them.
