Check out these Headlights! LED drl's?
I am new to the RL scene. But not to Acura. Anywho cruising around I found these headlights with what look like LED drl's built in! Do want!

There have been many a discussion about led strip DRLs, and I think the best conclusion to come out of them is: that's an Audi thing. Do something original, and it will be that much cooler. No need to copy. However, if that suits your taste, then I say go for it.

Audi thing? HAHA! Much like your led interior lights? And that cool custom led license plate light. It is what I want and i'm showing everyone else in here. But you are entitled to your opinion. So much as am I

Every car has interior lights, vanity lights, map lights, dome lights, and all have exterior license plate lights along with high beams, low beams and fogs. Just b/c I chose to change the color doesn't mean I was copying anything. In fact I chose blue for my interior, is that what Audi uses b/c they don't advertise that like they do their DRLs?
I was stating more along the lines of running an led strip along the bottom of you headlight enclosure. That's where Audi puts them, and it has become a signature that no other cars have. Benz puts theirs where our fog lights are, and that's their signature. If that's what you want, that's what you should do. It seemed to me that you were posting this to look for opinions, but obviously I was mistaken. My bad.

Oh, something I missed, my license plate lights aren't custom. I just swapped the stock incandescent T10 bulbs for LEDs. LED license plate strips are for people who can't figure out how to get to their trunk lights.

cheap LED strips. i have yet to see one that has held up flawlessly. always see them with one or 2 burnt out. not to mention they are small side emitting LED's where as Mercedes and Audi have 5-9 1w LED's with a proper heatsink and those even fail too often

Since posting my comment about "it's an Audi thing", I have noticed many other cars that have them. I think that only reinforces my desire to come up with something different. I also agree with rtr, as crazy as that sounds, that when the Audi strip turns off with the blinker on, it looks stupid.
If it was done on another RL, I think it would look best at the bottom of the bumper like MB and Porsche do theirs.

Actually, in both high and low ambient light situations, shutting off the LED when the turn signal is on makes the amber turn signal more visible. I have seen it work quite well. I think it is sensible, despite the strange looks.

Yes the LED strips are very common now and on the RL they look like a mod done by high school kids. I agree with the being original idea anything after market looks fake and trying to look like it is something that it is not. Maybe dingle balls from the mirror or a chromed chain steering wheel would work!
