"Check DRL System"?
I'm starting to feel like the resident complainer, but I am experiencing some weird quirks with my RL...
Yesterday morning I saw a yellow "Check DRL System" message on the MID. I think the message came up when I released my parking brake, but it might have been when I started the car. I got out of the car and checked the lights, but they looked fine. We'll see if it happens again. Has anyone else seen this? The manual says to have the system checked by the dealer if that message comes up...

Don't worry about that message, all it really means is that you've got the parking brake on. Same thing happened to me when I first got the car. When I let the car play the message verbally, all it said was that the DRL system is shut down when the parking brake is set.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Are you sure you're not thinking of the white "DRL OFF" message that I usually see? I thought I stated something about that normally being show in my car, but after re-reading my post, it looks like I left that out.

"Check DRL SYSTEM" is not the same as "DRL OFF"!
"Check DRL SYSTEM" indicates that there is a problem, where as "DRL OFF" comes on when the ignition switch is turned to the ON "II" position with the parking brake on and headlight is NOT on (another design feature of the RL that doesn't make sense; there is no need to provide a warning when the car is not being driven out of its parked position yet).
The way I see it, there is no real function to the "DRL OFF" warning light other than to needlessly alarm the driver, where as the "Check DRL SYSTEM"'s function is to warn of a malfunction of the system.
I would bring the car to the dealer. It would be interesting to see what the service technician comes up with.
