cheap brakes??

I think the old owner the car put some cheap brakes on the car. There is always alot of brake dust that builds up on the rims after a short period of time. what do u guys recommend for a good set of brakes? cost? where?

thanks

The RL has big front brakes and bigger brakes create more brake dust. It's just the nature of the beast. Try getting ceramic pads, (your car most likely has semi-metallic pads currently). I have Akebono ceramic pads and they reduced the brake dust by quite a bit.

The dust is from the pads. There are some testimonies here about EBC Redstuff being low on dust. The Greenstuff has a lot of dust.

got these..
about 1500 miles so far, i did take it easy for the first 200 miles or so to break them in ( just like any other brakes)

cant get much cheaper for a whole set. had something similar on bmw 530xi with no problems

+1 akebono. Not sure you are supposed to take it easy on new brakes. Don't you have to bed them in? Drive about 60, apply hard and steady pressure on brakes to about 10 mph, then do it again a few more times.
