Changing brake fluid
My car is calling for the 30,000 mile service now.
Is it really necessary to change the brake fluid after 30,000 miles? If so, what brand and type is recommended?
How about the other items for the 30,000 mile service? Are these things done at dealerships or do most of you do it yourselves?
Thanks!

personally i would recommend changing out the transmission fluid. transfer case and rear differential fluid at 30k. as far as brake fluid i wouldnt sweat it. depends on fluid color. if its clear gold then your good you can wait it off cause its not harmful in any way unless its a dark color. Drivetrain is a must to me cause im not going to wait till 60k and have it fail halfway there. If possible do it yourself with the drain and fill for the entire drivetrain save you some money. Just get a quite and see how much maybe you can save your hands from getting dirty at a fair price

no external filters so its just a simple drain and fill. id collect teh same amount you take out of the transmission just to make the fillinf process faster cause youd be looking between 3-4 qts atf-z1 fluid from honda or acura. always inspect the drain plug washers just to be safe
