Central Display Question

Is there a way to turn off the central display above the mileage indicator in the speedometer console? Sometimes watching all that information while your driving gets boring and it would be nice to turn it off and see nothing other than the mileage/OAT indicator.

If you are watching "all that information" while you are driving then you are watching the wrong subject. Look out of the windshield and the info on the display won't "bore" you.

To my knowledge. once the MID is activated after startup, with a push of one of the steering wheel buttons, there is no way to disable, If you never activate it, assuming you have the display set to the way you want it (Odo total mileage or OAT, but not both).

In the 05 the MID is dark unless you select something. It should always display what you last had displayed or default to a software selectable home. Also in the 05 the MID only shows a few things if you are in cruise control! I know this was later fixed, hopefully when they fired the idiot that programmed the 05. The original software richard head decided that you would never want to check tire pressures if you were in cruise control.

set it to the SH-AWD, it's always interesting to see where the power goes!

My 06 RL, once you activate the MID always displays something, On my 08 MDX there is a blank screen option after the MID is activated, I guess there is a different version in the 08 model

OK that's odd...with my 06 (Canadian model) you can toggle through the MID settings so you wind up with only the "odometer line" displaying anything...I usually set mine to read the outside temp and the "Trip A" odo readingsince like most Canadians I have an unhealthy obsession with the weather and how much driving I can get on a tank.

The MID would be nice to have the option of going black, displaying only the mileage and OAT. I thought there was a way to turn it off. Guess I should just leave it alone when I restart.

I like the air pressure check, it saved me a flat tire! Picked up a screw that embedded itself in the tire. The air pressure said I had a low tire.
