Center Arm rest padding (lack of)

As most have noted the center arm rest is super thin where I put my elbow. The 2009 foam is not much better, if at all. I like the MDX hard rubber.
I am sure my dealer will replace it, but in another 2 years it will be shot again.
Anyone have some quality fixes that they have done?

Acura, are you reading this, super bad padding on these cars, this should last 10-15 years, and mine is bad after 1.5 years, my MUCH older NSX center padding is just like new.

I am having mine replaced because the synthetic leather on the center armrest has puckered. Looks terrible.

The padding is disappointingly thin. My center armrest pad already has a dimple where my elbow goes. Still, it's better than my old Miata, which had a hard plastic console. I ended up getting a (somewhat lame) aftermarket armrest cushion for the Miata.

My car is going to service today, but I'm not sure that this is an item worth bringing up.

+1 on the dimple for me, too. But I doubt I'll do anything about it.

I never noticed how thin the padding was until this post went up. Now, it bothers me. I was better off not knowing

Think of it as having personalized your armrest and you'll be making the best of it.

Yes, your arm moved away the padding, now it rests on the plastic below the padding.
