Did you check your personal settings through the MID?

The button sensor in the handle itself may be toast. This is a notorious RL trouble spot. See if the passenger door works better than the driver's.

EDIT: dwboston also makes a good call about your battery in your other thread.

Yeah I see two threads that all have symptoms of a bad battery.

Sometimes I have to try a few times before it will cooperate. I feel I may have a weak key fob battery.

ok well the dealer is saying that the driver's side door sensor is out and I need a new one. A new one is about $500.00 and acura, even though I am out of warranty is willing to pay 1/2 the cost for my 2007 RL which is 1 month before 4 years and at 61k miles, so I am out of warranty. A month ago the same door had the "lock actuator" go bad, and acura covered it 100% now the sensor has gone bad.. my car all of the sudden is falling apart.. strange.

try ebay to see if they have any extra door handles lying around in your color. Is that $250 including labor?

Acura so graciously offerred to pay for 1/2 of the $500 charge for the replacement. I talked to some douche at acura client services and she was such a brick wall. I was concerned that the lock actuator went out last month and this 1 month later, and maybe there is some relation.. I have no idea. Regardless this is my 5th acura and I told them my last, and I mean it. Unfortunately if they want to take a hard line on covering something I think should not have gone bad, then fine, I can always choose to spend my money elsewhere. Granted they gave me 50% of the cost but I feel this is a little defective and unfortunately < 100% is not satisfactory to me... so fine they decided on that call that I was not a valued customer. I guess that is how they do business. I'm not adverse to a 5, E or M..
