car locks locking over and over

I have been noticing that after I start driving, my doors lock and then I keep hear them lock over and over.. has anyone had this issue? you hear a winding noise of the electronics trying to lock the doors even though they are locked. Maybe a low battery? I had the battery replace a couple of years back..

Is there anything holding one of the unlock buttons like a kid or dog? My dog will stand on it sometimes and that will make it click click until we get her off it.

i dont' think that this is umcommon. it happened to me on my 05. it took two trips to the dealership (what doesn't) and they fixed it.

the work order says "replaced door moduels" (it's misspelled on the paperwork).

the two parts number are:
38860-SJA-A03 & 38860-SJA-A13

it also references a TBS 07 001

Good luck!

Your door handles might be shorting out. In one of the many times I had my handles replaced, all I had to do was walk near my car with the fob in my pocket and the doors would lock (or was it unlock?). Either way it happened without me touching anything. When I domeonstrated it at the dealer, the SM said, "that's kinda cool despite the fact it's not supposed to do that".

There is an Acura Service News for this problem. There are two fixes for the problems. Replace modules in the driver and passenger door. 90% of the time the fix is called the battery reset procedure. Dissconnect the positive and negative battery cables. Jump the two cables together ( I usually use the 10mm wrench I used to loosen the cables). use the emergency key to turn the ignition to acc 2 position. Wait 2 to 3 min ( drains all on car capacitors ). Remove key from ignition, reinstall cables. Make sure you have radio/navi codes. The multiplex system on the RL does funny things. This battery reset usually fixes 50% of its problems.
