Can't Find My Car Anymore
I just purchased a "new" 2008 RL to replace my 2005 RL. (It is "new" because the dealership loaned the car to Dave Eiland, the Yankee pitching coach last season; since he returned the car with 494 miles on it, the dealership sold/gave it to me for $39,000. It replaces my 2005 RL because, apparently, the only way my wife could talk my son out of buying a used, Red Mazda RX-8 was to give him my car -- he is paying me the same $13,000 that the dealership offered me for a 2005 RL with 65,000 miles, if I traded it in for the 2008.)
Here's my only problem with the 2008 RL vs. the 2005 model: I can no longer find my car in a parking lot, since it lacks the distinctive shark fin on the roof. I understand the shark fin is no longer functionaly necessary -- the XM antenna is in the housing of the rear-window mounted brake light, and there is no OnStar support on the 2008. (The other reason I can no longer find my car is the color -- Carbon Gray -- the very color of asphalt. I suspect, if I painted a highway lane stripe from end-to-end over the top of the car, I would never again be caught speeding.)
I, therefore, seek a low-cost, cosmetic (i.e., not functional) shark fin antenna, in Carbon Gray, that can be adhered to the roof of my car. Am I alone?

so you bought a 39K car to talk your son out of buying a used mazda by giving him your RL at the dealer trade in value of 13K?
after you find the shark fin, i also recommend picking up
j/k
can you come with me to crazy freddie in long island to talk me out of picking up a honda cbr rr?
you can get a new suzuki/harley out of it.

That does seem disorienting to suddenly be without your sharkfin, doesn't it?. If you REALLY want one, a good Acura OEM parts site will help you.
The toilet bowl plunger idea is not too bad, either.

"you attached a non-functional antenna to your vehicle?"
Some spend thousands of dollars for the aesthetics of new rims which I personally can't understand. I prefer the look of the fin to the plain roof at a cost of ~$100.

Wheels I can understand I guess what gets me is sticking on an antenna whose only purpose was eliminated. To each his own, however!
