Cabin filter dirty

Change your cabin air filter!

My "new" RL has 87K miles on it. I don't know if the cabin air filter is original or this is what it looks like with 87K but it was definitely time to change it.

87K miles - get ready for your 90K mile service, which includes the air filter if I'm not mistaken That air filter is mega dirty though!

CAFs are relatively cheap and easy DIY. I simply replace mine before and after rainy season. Keep in mind some premium CAF have embedded charcoal and will not be pure white when new. Your's however looks like a new life form has been created.

If the two filters in the picture were hookers, I would choose the left one.

What else were we supposed to post? "Damn, that filter is dirty," was covered in the first two replies.

Now that is a useful post Heavy. I only read the first one and learned how to replace the filter without taking the entire glove box out. Thank you!

OP, I didn't understand you needed help knowing how to replace it without removing the box. I would have gladly obliged since I made the same mistake on my wife's old Civic.
