A/C Problem I've Ran Out of Ideas HELP

Purchased an 05' RL from the salvage auction, it has now been full repaired. Only issue I have is the A/C not working. So here's what I've done.

- Replaced compressor with a bench tested working one
- Fill with freon, enough to kick compressor on
- Clutch does engage when I jumper the compressor, clutch is good conforming bench test
- I cannot get the compressor to kick on by itself unless jumped
- Relay has been replaced
- Continuity test has been done on harness on bottom of radiator
- Compressor is receiving power

Question is, how does the compressor receive a signal to when to turn on?

Download the service manual, find the HVAC.pdf, and go from there.

If you set the ac on max cold and recirculation the ac compressor will stay on until it reaches the set tempurature.

Did you vacuum down the ac system?

So I got a verified good used A/C compressor. Installed it, vacuumed system, charged the system (professionally). Clutch engages as it should however does not pull freon. Beyond stumped

I have put a new relay in. Today I have put a brand new a/c compressor in, this is the 4th compressor I've installed. 3 were used 1 (current) is new. Compressor isn't the problem. Compressor works fine, a/c is on and still refused to take freon. I'm going to lose my cool. Makes absolute no sense what so ever. My last and very thought is that there is something stuck in the high pressure line. That's all I can think of. If that's not the problem I'm getting rid of the car because I have about $700 and 25hrs of my time into it and have marginal patience left.

Replace the dryer if you haven't already.

Check the the pressure switch first then the Expansion Valve. Clean the filter if it have one. Assuming you have enough freon.
