BRAKE FLUID Change
Acura says to change the brake fluid every 3 years. Since my 2011 RL shipped to the dealer in March 2011, I figured it was time for a brake fluid change. I opened the master cylinder, and found the brake fluid was dark brown. Yikes. I went to the Acura dealer, they quoted my $160+tax, to bleed the system. I instead chose to buy four DOT-3 Brake fluid bottles for about $30 all together. I gave my Honda mechanic a call and he told me $40 to do a full bleed of the system. Great, I would have $90 bucks over the dealer.
Any comments of tips regarding this topic. How long do you usually flush the brake fluid on your 2G RL?

Burning Brakes
I bleed them when I change the oil, which for me is about once per year, probably over kill, but an easy job. Usually will let about 1/3 of a bottle bleed out per caliper. Three years is fine unless you feel the pedal getting spongy.
If you did it yourself, you'd have $130 over the dealer.

I only needed one quart of Dot3, which cost me about $8. I got a bleeding kit (bottle with tubes) from the auto store for $7, and bled them myself. I did have to buy a floor jack, but only because I didn't already have one, so you can add about $100 to the total for that stuff. It took me well over an hour to complete the job though, so $40 labor is a darn good deal. Alao, cleaning up brake fluid off of the garage floor isn't too fun, nor is driving it to the waste dump.
