The best color for RL
I think my pearl white RL (when its clean
) catches alot of peoples attention. I noticed it when I stop on the traffic light, people would stared at my car(specially at night time with the Navi's brightness set to max), it doesn't happen as often as with my silver SC430. Plus, I think the silver doesn't go with the RL, but somehow most (thought I rarely see on) of the RLs I see in Toronto are Silver(maybe its own by the same guy)!

The pearl white is a great looking car, but there's this one silver that is the best color overall. It's so unique that all other colors are the fail. I can't remember its name, but it's definitely a silver.
are you sure its not just people going.. whos this blind guy that set his brightness to max. lol
When I see people with bright navi I always think to myself.. do they not know how to change the settings or something?
white blends in.. its the #1 color in america in 2009. IMO green stands out. orange stands out. pink stands out.

I haven't seen any green Acuras lately (after 2004). Do they still come in greens? I wouldn't have pink for any of my car, lol. It is way too outstanding in another way, haha. How many of you have turn your navi to max or minimum brightness at night?

I agree, I have a silver RL. I had two Acura's prior both white so was looking for a change. My silver with Zaino wax looks great especially in the sunlight but I do think the white with parchment interior looks classy and stays clean. I also have a silver Lexus sc430 and in that car I think the silver looks better than white. Good choices for your cars!!!
Celestial silver...of course!
OK -- personal preference. My exterior color was somewhat dictated by my preference for the taupe interior (light grey, actually). I'd probably have gone pearl white if they offered the taupe.
I wanted to stay with a lighter color, since my prior Acura (a G2 Legend) was a deep Red Garnet Pearl. That left the silver.
On further consideration, I could imagine having opted for the Lakeshore Silver or the Carbon Silver just to stand out a little more in the sea of silver cars on the road.
Still, the RL's silver shines when its clean! And it stays looking that way for longer.
Green would be a fascinating color for the RL.

Go to the Wash&Wax forum. Black is clear and away the best looking, but is the most work. Blue and gray are good compromises for depth of color, but not as much work. I think the lighter colors look better under bright light and don't need as much cleaning, but don't have the depth.

I have a graphite gray. But my first choice always been pearl white with ebony interior. There was 2 new one for sale but they mark it up $2000 more than the graphite gray. And if I were to get it I have to drive up to Central California. Sucks.....
I vote Lakeshore as the coolest color for an RL. it looks really nice. the white is gorgeous, but I do NOT Like the taupe interior which most white ones seem to have. white on ebony is gorgeous.
I wanted lakeshore on ebony or white on ebony - couldn't find either color. I passed on a white/taupe and bought a Carbon Gray on Ebony. I have really come to enjoy this color. it's a very classy looking color combo...the gray doesn't stand out as much as the white or lakeshore, however.
black looks good but get dirty too fast. I have dark metallic blue roadster (ocean blue metalllic POrsche..it kind of looks navy blue in dark light and purplish in bright light..very cool color) ...it behaves, however, kind of like black int hat it looks dirty the day after you wash it. just a little bit of dust gets on it and it looks dirty...that's fine for a toy car that is usually in the garage or under a car cover...but for a DD it woudl drive me nuts.... my Carbon Gray RL looks pretty clean most of the etime..even when it's not.
white adctually stays looking cleaner longer than black in my opinion. my wifes car is white and it has to get pretty dirty beffore you really notice it.
Blazing GT - that pic of your car is just awesome. that color, that body kit, lowered, on big wheels - just plain sweet! one thing i really think looks cool - you tinted the windshield..that makes it look pretty cool! does it detract from you outward visibility that much? like what about at night? i'd be tempted to do that on my RL.... I have "medium" 3M tint all the way around on my car..but NOT the windshield....
i'm th inking i might do it..it looks cool. gives the car a very sleek look as you can no longer see in from any angle..and since your front is dark, it makes the sides/rear look darker too..... i like it. my only worry is whether it hurts outward visibility.... ???

The only problem is the rain
...then visibility becomes a problem
oh man tough to say... i had a 2005 RL with celestial silver and black interior but totaled it a few weeks ago. i thought that was the best color, for some reason the lighter or metallic colors make the muscle on the car pop out more. i just replaced it with a 2006 RL not sure if it's the lakeshore silver or carbon gray pearl. can't wait until i can pick it up from the dealer! (and drive it since i broke my right leg in the accident)
You can click on "2007 Acura Legend" above my avatar to see LSM. Celestial Silver is silver, LSM is gray, and Carbon Gray is dark gray, almost like graphite. The dealer rarely gets it right. I though I was buying a Carbon Gray until the salesman asked the Service Manager who was adamant it was LSM. It didn't help I could only see pictures of it.
I go for the black or the pearl white, closely followed by the dark blue. Those are the colors I looked for when I got mine. Obviously, I ended up with black.
The black is a lot of work to keep clean, but black cars also have some advantages people don't often talk about: There's no problem matching up touch-up paint to them, and it's easier to make inconspicuous repairs to the car as it ages (though our cars obviously haven't reached that stage in life yet). And of course, they look doubly fabulous when you put the black stuff on the tires.

As for the thread revival,
, I am torn on deciding a true "best color". The white is immaculate. Touge and Zelaya have proved that impeccably.
Black Luxury cars are always ridiculously clean in my book especially with the right chrome accents like Acura, Audi, and MB do it. But then LSM and Carbon gray can make it look awesomely sporty. I have to say white or black for VIP, and LSM or Carbon for sport.
I can't believe it took me a year to know lland drove a Redondo Red Pearl 2G CMBS.

And of course there is the right answer! The folks who do the advertising materials will use the best colour for the brochure - I've selected my Honda colours that way for years and never been disappointed. So in Europe, at least, it is Lakeshore. The general rule in Europe is big cars need a darkish colour. The exception in my opinion is in the hot and sunny climates of southern Europe (equates to SoCal, Fl etc) where a white looks cool.
