battery

I am getting the low battery warning again (non-telescoping sterring wheel).
The RL is a bit hard on batteries - this will be my third battery (05).

FYI...Just put the first replacement (2nd battery) in my '06 about a month ago. Just over 50,000 miles.

Not to mention the weird electrical issues that appear with a low battery...

I was just thinking about replacing my original battery. I'm at about 53,xxx miles. I was tripping about my windows not rolling down!

As luck would have it, the battery was dead this morning - Thanksgiving morning. Luckily, we aren't going anywhere until tomorrow. Now I have to go out on Black Friday and buy a battery.
First battery exhibited the non telescoping steering wheel for about a month before I replaced it as I did not know at the time that that was the cause. This time, it's only been a week. Should have replaced it at first sign of symptom, but just did not have the time and was hoping it would make it until the weekend.

Optima is THE battery. I will not run a car with anything else. I am blessed in the fact that the PO had already replaced the battery in our RL with a new Acura battery. I am good to go for a while, but I will put in a Optima when the times comes.

I had my battery replaced for free by the dealer last year after about 3.5 years of use - non telescoping steering wheel was the symptom. Acura's policy is to replace for free if the battery lasts less than 4 years or something like that. Hoping the one I have now runs another 2.5 years, then maybe I can get a free replacement again !

Replaced with Bosch - only one that matched group size at parts store.
Fairly easy job and knew what to expect since this is the second time I have replaced it.
Just had to enter the Nav and Radio codes. I did have to reset the Driver 1 Door memory button, but none of my settings (radio, XM, addresses, etc.) were lost.

Yep, had the same thing happen. Except, I never got a low battery warning. I get a warning light when my right front tire loses 2 Psi, but nothing for the low battery....

Replaced with a Die Hard Gold. I know Optima and Interstate have their followers, but in 30 years, a Die Hard has never left me stranded. Plus, Sears did it at 4:30am on Black Friday.

The "low battery warning" is a bit of a joke. There's no warning light, just the steering wheel stops telescoping out when starting the car.

The only low battery warning I've seen is for the FOB.
