Anybody tried Mobil 1 0w-20?

Hot weather and ac has been killing my mpg, last tank I averaged 14 mpg. I was thinking of trying mobil 1 advanced fuel economy synthetic 0w-20. According to them, recommended for cars that use 5w-20.

Any thoughts?

Heres a link to the specs

i used 5w-20 on mine and it was a great choice. I got average mpg of 26 with mixing city and hwy. If on the freeway, i usually used cruise control and get unbelievably 30mpg. On the other hand, if i drive in the city, my mpg is very low around 18-20. I just stick with 5w-20. Maybe you just push the pedal too hard hihih

There has been some talk on the web of Honda considering a change to 0w-20 oil for all its cars that now use 5w-20, in addition to those cars that already specify 0w-20.

Some of the thinking goes that the thinner oil will yield better gas mileage, if even only tenths of a mile, it matters over milliions of units and how HONDA meets CAFE requirements. Then there are those cars that still require 5w-30 such as the RDX and Civic Si. In the case of the RDX, that is also synthetic Mobil 1 only.

If you do change, let us know if it makes a noticeable difference.

wont make a difference!! 0-20 just means on start up it is lighter once it gets hot it is 20 weight just like the other. Never change viscosity of the dealer it will hurt the motor.

i think it still comes down to ac with city driving. i was watching my trip computer and it goes down by .1 every 2 mins while idling with ac. I will watch it again with no ac on.
