Any difference in front shocks?

I think I've found a couple of new a-spec shocks (finally!) but the only problem is they don't have the front left. I was thinking I'd just buy two of the front rights. In all my years, I can't recall ever being faced with shocks that were specific to one side (left or right) but the parts catalog lists the aspec shocks differently. Is this a quirk or is there something with them that would make them side-specific?

i have 2 front left shocks in my legend, i ordered by mistake, thinking front shocks were the same. there are different part numbers, but only for the brake line bracket to line up right. it is challenging to line up the front right shock in the left side, but once you do, the shocks job is to absorb, whether its on the left side or right side. later down the road when the shock wears out, or when i replace the lower control arm, ill swap it out, but since its in and performing no different, ill let it slide.

i would not recommend doing this though, i only kept it like that in my legend, because its an older vehicle, more of a backup vehicle that i will never get rid of. the brake line bracket is not exactly right, but it doesnt stretch the brake line or interfere with steering or suspension, even thought its not mounted to spec to the shock, it performs fine. i would just order the right part number, especially for the RL.
