Hi, I am being offered $29K + TTL for a 2010 RL tech @36K miles w/ about 9 months warranty left. Is this a good price to trade in my 2010 TL?

Need to make the decision now, please help.

the 4G TL is all new!
while the 2nd gen RL is based off technology that debuted in 2005.


lets weigh it:

Brand new '09 technology?

or

technology based from '05?




the only thing that the RL has over your TL is SH-AWD....thats if you have the base model TL.



to me; you're not moving up..you're moving laterally. and SPENDING MORE.

 

No, there's nothing wrong with my TL, I too like the exterior of TL better. In fact, I think my 2010 model looks better than the 2012 and later TL. The only reason makes me think about trading is the interior of RL, it looks so much better.

how much are they offering you on the trade?
is the interior THAT MUCH better to go upside down on?

 

They offered me $21.2K on my TL. In additional, there is about $1.5K on TTL. So the difference is about $9-9.5K.

 

is 10k worth to you old technology with a bad ass interior?
again; this is a lateral move.

That's a good price. If it makes you happy, then go for it. Trading a 3 year old car is never fiscally beneficial, though.
