Alternate Source for Shift Knob
So, I buy this car and think it would look good with a wood shift knob then realized how difficult it was to get one. Searches for RL wood shift knob don't return much. I altered my search to RL shifters '05-'08 that returned pictures of wrecked RL's being parted. I left messages with a couple yards and asked them to contact me if their shifters in stock had a wood knob and I got a hit from a place called Sambucci brothers (sambuccibros.com) who had one. They wanted me to buy the entire shifter assy but "I made him an offer he couldn't refuse" and received the knob today. I guess the point I'm making is that there are a lot of wrecked cars and wrecking yards that may provide better odds of finding one of these seemingly sought after knobs other than Ebay. If I am not the first who thought of this and am being redundant, my apologies, it's probably nothing more than dumb luck and good timing however, I felt it was worth passing on to the the group. Regards, Paul.

They wanted me to buy the entire shifter assy for $150 which I didn't want. The knob looked to be in good shape so I offered him $50 for it and told him he could replace it with a common leather one, still sell it for $150and be $50 ahead. That's it really. He was no band leader and I can' t sing. Hey 007 hope my font has elevated to your standards. Looks like I will dodge the next snow storm moving thru. Will happily accept the rain. Be well. Regards, Paul.
