All weather floor mats for 2005-2008

Hey guys, new to the forum here. Just picked up a 2005 RL with navigation, pretty sweet ride but it doesn't have floor mats. I'd like to get Tan/ Ivory all weather mats which truly fit the car (OEM or WeatherTech) but can't find any in stock. I noticed that the OEM set is part number 08P13-SJA-220 for 2005-2008 and the OEM set for 2009 - 2012 is almost the same 08P13-SJA-220A.

Will the 2009 - 2012 OEM all weather mats fit the 2005 - 2008 ? Has anyone tried this with good results?

Thanks!!!

I'm also interested in all weather mats as well. As far as weathertech mats, all i can find are their "trim to fit" mats, not their laser measured ones. Curious as to how the "trim to fit" mats fit, or if there is a better alternative.

The 2009 to 2012 RL OEM floor mats are in stock on amazon and would be great if they fit correctly in the 2005-2008. My guess is yes because the part number is nearly the same. Can anyone speak to this, that the model years are close enough that the floors didn't change from 2008 to 2009?

95% of the interior is similar between the '05-'08 and '09-'12, but I don't know if the similarities extend to the floormat. Given the part number difference, they may not fit perfectly, but you might be able to just trim it slightly to fit. Again, I don't know for sure, but given how similar the rest of the interior is, that might just be what it is.

they are more likely a different. I just looked up the floor carpets in the same color for 08 and 09 and they are different part #'s as well

Interesting that they are different #'s ...

Don't really see how they could be all that different if at all..

I remember this discussed or noted somewhere that the fronts were fine but rears slightly off but still fit.

Does your local Acura dealer have the 09 mat in stock to do a test fit? Mine is cool enough to allow me to do that, ask then whats the worse they can say?

I had an 06 RL with all weather mats, and picked up a 2012 a couple months ago. Since both cars had black interiors, I assumed I could reuse my 06 all weather mats in my new 2012....wrong! Wound up getting the new mats for the 2012.

The front mats from the 06 "almost" fit (Acura changed the anchor system from the 06 to 2012), the newer mats have larger anchor holes to accommodate the twist locks the newer car uses to anchor the mats, versus the smaller simple hook arrangements the 06 had

The rear mats from the 06 DO NOT fit - the front seat rails and rear footwells and floor "shape"/contours are different between the 06 and the 2012.

I have "Universal" WeatherTech in my 06 RL... you can trim to fit them good, and overall quality is really good. I find them to be pretty firm as far as what position you set them into, so overall good mats.
Will you find any better "universal" mats - no.
Do WeatherTech Universal mats fit perfectly - not really, these are not laser measured, so expect some snow to get onto the carpeting between the mat and the edge/walls around the area

If you can, most perfect fit you can find is the retail/OEM Dealer RL original all season mats ...

Did we really need another thread? https://acurazine.com/forums/second-...estion-901138/

And that doesn't include the 5 other helpful threads that come up when you search "weather mats".
