After seeing the chop work that had to be done to another member's car to fit the bags in the front, it's probably the last thing I'd ever do to my car.

I don't like slammed or stanced, but I'll stick around for the results.

I like slammed cars. I just don't like the idea of cutting and re-welding control arms to make it happen. Just doesn't seem like a smart idea to me.

I'm also in the process of bagging my 2009 KB2 RL Good luck with your build, can't wait to see it when it's done!

edit//

If they're capable of designing a strut design similar to AirRex's, then I could be interested. At the moment the plan is to use UAS bags on coils w/ Accuair E-Level, but the idea of an all in one strut is appealing if they can pull it off.

Yea from what he told me he plans on using a 2013 accord set up that they already have and modify the top mount to fit my car. He rather modify the air strut than mess with anyother components of my suspension. Ill keep you guys posted if and when i do do it lol ill be sure to take lots of pics

I say go for it. I know several of Airtekk's customers that are in the VIP scene with very impressive builds. Their work appears to be top notch. I do not know what it will take to get air suspension installed on the RL. From what was mentioned here, it seems like it is not straight forward. It seems like car mods nowadays involve various forms of custom work anyway so I say see what magic they can work up for you.

As for the car itself, personally I have only seen one RL slammed on bags which was at WekFest East in 2012 I believe. I'm not sure if he is/was a member on here but I think he is local to me. Given that there are hardly any of our cars out there stanced on bags, I'd think it'll be good to go that route and most importantly have something different. Good luck!

Here is the car I mentioned... it even had a feature on Canibeat:

Here are some KB1 owners in Japan for those who are into slammed JDM cars. Their riding on Harmonic coilovers which allows them to go very low.

On 19" HRE Wheels

On 20" Work Wheels

On 20" Traffic Star Wheels

I've posted my RL for sale awhile ago on ebay.com and here on acurazine.com so for those of you who seen an ad of my RL for sale elsewhere is not me but someone who is trying to commit fraud. I've decided to keep the RL and add a few more mods. Yes, I did get a few offers above $32k for those of you who said it was over priced or not possible. I listed the price higher than what I'm willing to sell because from experience I knew many serious buyers would try to bargain for a lower price. Anyways, I like to thank those who has complimented my RL.

Recent Mods: UAS Air Bags, Accuair Control System, Dakota Digital air gauge, Full Aspec kit

Everything was installed myself and some of the challenges I encountered during the install was the clearance issue up front. The front bag was too large in diameter so I had a fab shop shorten the front upper A arm bolt, relocate the hinges that connects to the upper A arm and have the firewall hammered in to free enough clearance for the bags to fit. Here are some quick photos I took.

I was gonna buy his air suspension but need the coils. No point in paying 2000 for coils and then 1800 for bags over coils when i can get a airbag set up for the same price.

I actually currently have the air setup from the Black RL above (the guy is from NJ). He sold it forward and I got the setup from a member on here who sold them to me last year (I'll be the 3rd owner of these front struts, thats all I'm really re-using). I recently ordered new rear bags, and an Accuair management setup... spoke to a buddy of mine to install the bags starting Thursday ending Sunday of next week.

It would be great to have an RL specific bag setup, I'm sure it would help with the banging and prep work. I know what this job will entail, and I'm ok with it. Progress thread should be coming soon.

Ambiguous626 of the VIP scene in Southern California is from NJ?

Do you mean he is originally from NJ and the car was in Cali?

Bro, you should really look into this and make sure they did their R&D. The backs are going to be really close to the wheels wells, and fronts need a lot of space to work properly. My fronts are off-set to compensate for space, and even still its a tight fit. Dont get me wrong, I really want this to work, because I would love a more RL specific set up, I just think they need to test and try this out more. Its not just about measuring shocks off the car. Just my

Side note: This nothing I haven't told you already. I just want the RL Gods opinions.

Yea i know bro. I think he went with the sleeve bag cause it takes up less space. And we shall see when my kit gets here. He sent the stuff out to japan so im sure theyll figure it out. And ill be the test dummy so that us RL guys can have something worth it at a decent price lol

Just curious how the bags install? Do they replace factory strut and spring? Any cutting involved?
