afs light just today is coming on then when i restart the car it goes out. can someone tell me how to track down the problem. 2005 RL.

 

B06-049 is a TSB for AFS indicatior on for all 2005 RL's. The links to TSBs in the garage do not work, but find TSB sites in other Honda or Acura forums. Call up any TSB and when the pdf shows up, go to your browser address and replace the TSB number you pulled up with 06-049 and hit enter, and you should get the TSB

It may or may not be the answer, but it is a start with a known problem.

 

search the board, it's either the stroke sensor and/or the control unit, both of which will each set you back about $400-$600 at the dealer, including labor. Code is stored in computer so even if light is off, tech can still read what caused the fault
