AcuraCare..

Hope everyone on the forums had a great Holiday and New Year!
I haven't been here on awhile but finally pulled the trigger on an AcuraCare Warranty via Dave @ Curry Acura yesterday. I figured that the end of 2012 was the latest you can buy it as the 4/50 warranty expired and just the 6/70 powertrain remained, but you couldn't have any sort of gap..
I chose the 5yr/80 extension (as my odo is currently hovering at 10k) for $1,170 with no deductible.. Wat do you guys think about the price? I thought it was a solid deal and repeatedly heard great things about Curry Acura but I had no time to reach out for feedback as I just remembered I had to buy the warranty literally yesterday!!

You have an 08 with only 10k miles on it? Why do you need a warranty at all because at that rate after 5 years you will only have 22k miles. That said, price is decent. I paid $990 back in 08 for 4 yr/100k and got it ith 43k miles on the car. I had over $6k in repairs covered under that warranty.

The price seems fair. I also purshased a Curry Acura Warraty. But I haven't had to use it yet since the car is still under the original factory warrenty. Has anyone had problems using their Curry Acura care extended warrenty at their local dealership? I was wondering if local dealers where giving customers a hard time for buying an extended warrenty from another dealer. They shouldn't but that doesnt mean they wont.

Small story behind the super low mileage.. I bought this '08 new in late 2009 as I wasn't a big fan of the beak.. It was the last new Blk/Blk Tech in the entire country when I bought it! After that, I still had my '98 Maxima as a DD until it got totaled when another guy hit me. After that, my job at the time was literally 8 minutes away so all that together explains 10k in 3 years haha.. I mainly bought it for the 5 extra years just in case those common RL gremlins pop as they can be quite pricey.. Whether it's a potential prop shaft, afs, or door handles, the piece of mind was worth it for $234 a year.. 80K was the lowest option and I expect to be around 40k-50k by then once the future rugrats are born

You've got factory + extended. You should be good for quite some time and perhaps 4 sets of door handles...You can't put a price on peace of mind.
