Interesting, I've asked my dealer for a loaner RL and they don't have any. I'm looking to trade in my TL for an RL.

 

I drove a 09 RL recently too as a Loaner car form my dealer. I definitely like the back exterior design of the 09. It did not have CMBS.

 

Nice compraro pix. Acura supposedly changed the 09 sound deadoning system, and different glass too. anyone notice the new quiet?

My favorite 09 changes are the vented seats and the shifter boot. Sounds trivial but to a long term MT driver, I hate the look and feel of the plasticky auto shift gates. and it's hot here in TX.

talking about weather, north Austin had a bad hail storm right over the Acura dealer, its sad to see the bang up job, and I mean bang up!, on brand new RLs and TLs. -paint peelin hammer jobs. Sad to see. they bargained off most of em, but I saw a black and a white 09 RL still out there. banged up and peeling. maybe it's all the aluminum? even if you replaced the hood and trunk, these had damage on the fenders, trim, and roof of course.

 

Don't ever want a CMBS system on any car.

 

I actually really want CMBS and ACC. I think CMBS variants will be common in the future, like stability control is now. cause when you're shaving or putting on makeup (hopefully not both) CMBS can be a life-saver.

I just don't want PAX. Honda and Michelin dropped the ball and neither did the right thing IMO.

 

If I had a 2009 RL, I would replace the headrests with 08 or 07's even though 2009 RL is awsome. My 2008 Legend headrest supports my head perfectly and comfortably.
