2008 RL Leases

Just spoke to my dealer - learned that the 2008 RL Tech only has a 48% residual after 36 months.

This is the lowest he and I had ever seen for an Acura over 3 years...

The MDX is looking good (if a bit expensive) right now.

I looked at leasing the 08 initially coming off my 05 lease. Even when the dealer made the net capitalized cost $41520, $4000 under invoice, the best lease deal was $670 per month, ~$75 more per month than I was paying for my 05 RL, the 08 being the exact same car for all intensive purposes. The reason for this was the residual value and to a lesser extent the money factor. I'm holding out for the 09 RL which should have a much better residual value (the TSX I think is 61%!!) and since I am a repeat customer many times over I should still be able to negotiate a net capitalized cost very close to invoice. The money factor is not very competitive for a car they are trying to unload at 4%. Audi is desperately trying to unload their A6 and their money factor was 0.8% with a monthly payment of ~579 / month, similarly equipped. Acura obviously wants people to buy and not lease the 08 RL.
