I just got this car with 140K miles, everything works fine. Started getting the "CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM" after giving my wife's car a jump (she connected the cables wrong before I told her how to).. car drives fine, except the "check charging system" notice keeps coming on & off with the red battery light, the navigation screen goes off for a second or two. Now I'm getting the "check emissions system" & " check awd system" lights... OK so I got the alternator and battery checked at AutoZone today, they said it's fine. I changed the pulley tensioner and belt, I clean the battery tops, and replaced the negative battery ground cable, checked ALL the fuses, I unplugged the HFL, and used the code finder at AutoZone and no codes popped up. It hasn't turned off or failed to start or anything major.. What is wrong with this thing... I was in
love with this car and had fantasy about driving it for the longest... Now it's getting on my nerves because I can't even pull up and play music with out it turning on and off and embarrassing me.

Are you saying you actually connected the two cars with reverse polarity ? This can be catastrophic to the electrical system, depending on your luck - sometimes cars won't survive this, depending on what gets fried. Other times you get away with nothing more than a blown fuse and a few sparks.
It's probably time to visit a good auto electrician.
