2007 RL or 2008 Volvo s80?
As the title states, I am about to change my second car (my dd is a 2005 tsx which I love) an old accord adn I am looking for a nice comfy ride. Ideally I want a 2007 RL with low miles (~50k) But the RL is hard to find and it will be harder considering that I am looking for a very clean one.
So, anybody has any thoughts about the Volvo s80 from 2008? I heard is a good ride, about the same size as the Rl and it has better fuel consumption. The only thing is that being a different make is unknown territory for me...
Any imput, welcome..

All I will say is don't buy a Volvo unless you are friendly with a good Volvo mechanic. Parts are very expensive and they are no where near as reliable as a Honda/Acura. I have worked in the car business for 20 years. I cringe every time I have to take a Volvo in trade. Almost every one I have taking in goes right to the auction.
Fueleconomy.gov says the S80 AWD 3.2 gets same as RL, 3.0 and 4.4 get 1mpg less than RL. I wouldn't describe any of them as very good, generally speaking.
The 2007/08 RL has base, tech, tech w/cmbs/PAX options. So no, not all RL's have PAX
Volvo...For Life?
I have owned Volvos almost continuously for over 40 years, including an '05 S80.
IMO, they make the best wagons for the $$.
Their sedans are decent but, where they used to be a leader in safety...not so much anymore. Everyone else has caught up.
Even their new pedestrian safety features are gimmicky and unreliable.
I completely agree, you'll need a new BFF as a mechanic/technician.
The dealers? BIG $$s and most are hapless.
All things considered, if prices are similar, I'd go RL.
I do admit, my "bricks" have all been very reliable. My current V70 is about to hit 116K and 9.5 years old. It is one, sweet baby but, always pampered.
I'm seriously considering keeping her, eschewing an RL until we see how the RLXh fares in a year.
OR, maybe trade the Accord for an RL since my DW just informed me, the Accord is just OK, nothing remarkable.

Made up my mind when you said Acura vs. Volvo.... Acura ALL DAY. The RL is a great car that will last a lot longer. Lots of features and you have this awesome forum with some cool peoples to give you tips/advice on your car.
BTW My GF's father runs the service department for Volvo and they're expensive to maintain. The RL can be expensive as well but IMO it's more durable and has less issues.
