Transmission fluid flush done the correct way will run you $300. What is wrong with your rotors?

I am willing to give it a try of course

I got an estimate from dealer of 2000 dollars (lol)
ntb about 2000 dollars too (lol)
sears auto about 1500 dollars (lol)
and local mech that a friend trusts with oem parts and fluids 1400 dollars

I am just wondering what is a legit estimate for parts and labor for this type of work

Case of Trans Fluid $100-120
Brake Rotors and Pads $380 (Tirerack package)
Brake Fluid $3-$9 depending which brand you go with. With the recall they had i would stick with OEM Honda Fluid
Mighty Vac ($19.99 Harbor Freight)
Hand Pump Transfer Fluid ($19.99 Harbor Freight)
Can of BrakeKleen $4
1 QT of transfer case fluid $12 (Might as well do it since you will be doing the rest of the drivetrain)

Buy a case of beer and have a buddy give you a hand. Easily done within 3 hours with a experienced person. 4-5 with a new guy. And enjoy the $1000-1400 that you saved

When was the last time the rear diff fluid was changed? When I bought my tranny fluid, 10 qts, I added 4 quarts of diff fluid for a total of $120 shipped from Oemacuraparts.com. They surely have the brake fluid cheap too. The discount + shipping was less than a local dealer + tax for me.

I think a lot of members would suggest you take this opportunity to upgrade pads and rotors from OEM to aftermarket. There are plenty of threads on this, some within the first two pages. Also, I am not sure how hard the SS brake line install is, but the parts are only $60-80, i think, and they have received awesome reviews.

At 60K my brakes were fine. Front pads were good to 90K. Tranny change was no problem including x-fer case and rear diff. I had dealer do the brakes for $80 just cause my power bleeder cap didn't fit the Acura--but I'm gonna fix that.

All the 60K stuff is DYI-able.
