Did u check the fuse? Also i notice the wire from my car going to the compressor seems burned check to see if yours is burned as well. If fuse is ok then it might be your temperature control panel. I bought one to replace my 05-08 temp control panel to 09-12 after installing it, it won't cycle the ac compressor.
As Zz916zz said check ur ac relay

2005 RL AC issue
Hi, I had an issue with my AC recently, it started blowing hot air and i did the usual checks and narrowed it down to the stator, yesterday I replaced the stator and it's still blowing hot air, could it be the compressor itself?
Also while removing the pulley (which was really jammed in there btw) the little piece that holds the snap ring broke off, for now i just screwed the pressure plate on it. I'm not driving it now, since i'm not sure how secure the pulley will be without the snap ring, I started the car just to test and now the compressor is engaging but still blowing hot air. At this point should I just replace the compressor?
Thank you in advance.

Link to buy part :
ELECTRICAL / EXHAUST / HEATER / FUEL >>>>>>> AUTO AIR CONDITIONER CONTROL >>>>> part #14 : AMPLIFIER ASSY., AUTO AIR CONDITIONER / PartNo: 79610-SJA-A02
I changed this part by myself from this video at home ^_^ . It works immediately ... Notus came back ^_^

Will you try to swap the AC temperature control, when i swap mine from 05 to 09 my AC stops working or compressor will not kick in. Found out that the temperature control that i bought is defective. Temperature Control is kind of cheap now at ebay and cost $25. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-2008-RL...tZDN2o&vxp=mtr
The OP has a 2005 Acura RL. Your fix was for a 2006 Acura RL. My research of the part you are recommending indicates that the part is for a 2006 and up. The compatibility is questionable. Can someone expound on this. I will like to find out what the fix is also. I recently had everything replaced by an independent shop and the AC is still not working. Come on AC gurus, help a brother out in Tampa before I have to go to the dealership.

You said that you switched out the temperature control and discovered it was defective but you never clarified if a different one worked.

LOL, yes i said defective. Why would i say that because upon troubleshooting by swapping the old one it work and getting a new 09 one work as well.

Well it looks like I have my work cut out for me. I am going to source one locally here in Tampa on Monday and see what happens. Is the install as simple as removing the entertainment center. (Nav and radio) like in the video on YouTube. Then simply unplug the defective part and plug in the replacement part, right?

Yes pretty much easy to remove.

Sounds good. Some other questions. Is this the same part that user (Nanonemo) above is talking about replacing? Also do anyone know if the OP (Texasauto) ever solve his issue. He started this thread but I noticed that he only has one post. It helps us all when a problem is solved and the resolution is posted.

Its the same. But based on the picture of the part number, its the mother board and not the complete set with buttons.

Not to HIjack this thread, but I was driving to work today and the AC was working fine and then boom, nada. All hot air and no AC.
I have a 2008 RL.
What's my 1st step. Where do I begin to solve the mystery as to what happened. Thank you in advance.

I personally would recommend taking it to a dealership to troubleshoot and then decide on if you would like to have them fix it or at an independent shop. You don't want to start replacing parts like previous posters and still find out that it didn't fix the problem which will end up costing you more in the long run. I've had similar problems with my RL which turned out to be a compressor and my 08 MDX which turned out to be just a fuse. Both times, the problems were diagnosed at the dealer and corrected on the first visit. I typically do all of the maintenance on my cars since the closest dealer is 90 minutes away, but if it's a problem that's out of my league, I prefer leaving it to the experts.

UPDATE TIME... Success, Success, sorry for shouting everyone. I went to my local junkyard (LKQ) here in Tampa to see if the temperature control was still in the 2005 RL that they had. I paid my three dollars to get in the yard and was disappointed to learn that someone beat me to the part. Matter of fact, the entire center radio system was gone. I searched eBay and noticed that there were several 05-08 temperature controls available for about $50. I also noticed the 09-12 temperature control for $100. Local junkyards wanted $100 for the 05-08 temperature control. I decided that I would go with the updated part from the 09-12 on eBay. It took two days via Fedex to reach my residence. I installed it and the ac started blowing cold again. Its amazing how much trouble this simple fix is causing everyone. I even had an independent shop go through my whole ac system a few weeks ago and he basically gave up on the RL. To anyone having any ac issue with the RL just remember to check the fuses first then the compressor stator. Next, check the temperature control. DO NOT let anyone throw parts at the problem or tell you the ac system is crap. Remember, this vehicle is a beast and cost $50,000 new for a reason.

Good to hear that it's fixed. It's good to go with 09-12 Temperature Control the only bad thing is u lost the dual button.

Hi guys. New to the forum. Just setup my account to ask some questions.
I have an 06 RL. I read here the 05's had a ton of AC problems, and some stuff was replaced in the 06's.
My car has about 80k miles, and recently started doing this weird thing where the AC will only work if the car is relatively cool, like when i turn it on first thing in the morning on the way to work, or on the way home at 5pm, after the car cooled down for a bit.
Once the AC is running, it works great, even if im driving for hours, but if i turn the car off, even for a few seconds, and turn the car back on, now the AC wont kick in. Only blows warm air. I have to let the car sit for many hours, presumably for whatever sensor or part needs to cool off, for the AC to work again. Sometime if its really hot in the morning, like 90+, it wont turn on either.
Took it to my mechanic, he tested fuses, said they were fine. Said it probably requires the replacement of some $300 part (plus 300 for labor), but i've been reading here that it could be a myriad of things, like the "stator" (whatever that is), the dashboard temperature control unit, clutch coil, clutch relay, evaporator temperature sensor, etc.
I obviously dont want him to start replacing expensive parts, if it wont solve the problem, or if there's an easy cheap fix. Any insight would be appreciated
Thanks in advance.

I deleted five of your posts, four of which were identical to this post, and one which was an apology,, since we kind of frown on people doing things like that, for obvious reasons. Especially when most of them were in threads that were many years old.
Please try to post intelligently and without repetition.

What part did your mechanic advise replacing?
