105k mile service complete

I searched the forum for a dedicated thread to this service and didn't see one, so figured I'd start one.

Just had the water pump, timing belt, serpentine belts and spark plugs replaced as part of the service. While it was in the shop, I had the power steering, differential and transmission fluids changed and had them program a key that I had bought a while ago. Got it all done for $1000. I saw someone else post on here a while back it cost them $900 for just the belts and pump, but I called 3 places (1 dealer and 2 independent honda/acura shops) and this guy was the best price and had good reviews online (it must be true if its on the internet).

But figuring I got a few extra things done for only a hundred more than expected, I was quite happy (I'm not a do it yourself guy).

Also slapped on a new set of tires for $850. So grand total of $1850 and the car feels fantastic now. Dont figure I'll have to do another major service for a while.

Also starting to have the door actuator problem. Was quoted between 200-300 to fix it. But I'll leave that for another day.

New rotors, but no pads?

Go ahead and get yourself a new radiator cap too. Hate to see all of that work go out the window for a $7 part.

Just an FYI I got a quote from my dealer for the 105k service

Timing Belt Service Kit - $1,550
(timing belt, water pump, coolant, drive belts, all associated tensioners, idler pulley)

Valve Adjustment + Spark Plugs - $879.95
(includes valve cover gasket)

Yeah... way overpriced

Independent shop that specializes in honda and acura. Dealer wanted 1450 for just the 105k maintenance.

Drives like a dream. Now just need new actuators in the 2 front doors. Quoted 300/door.

This is my first post. Hope you guys don't mind me posting here. Have a 06 MDX and just had the timing belt, water pump with coolant change, drive belts AND tensioner (since it's V6) changed at a Honda dealership - Anderson Honda, Cockeyesville, Maryland for $497 total incl taxes. They are running a special on timing belt, water pump with coolant change and drive belts for 4 cyl models for $398 (http://www.andersonhonda.net/Specials/auto-service). My local Acura dealer wanted $1550. Hope this helps someone looking for a deal..
