A-1 Service Cost

What SHOULD the A-1 service cost? I dropped the car off at the dealership and they just about knocked me over when they told me $130. If I'm not mistaken, A-1 only requires an oil change and tire rotation.

Am I missing something??

A-1 is oil change and tire rotation. It's about $70 near me, including the disposal fees and taxes.

People should do their own tire rotation...it takes less than 10 minutes if you have a decent floor jack.

A-1 was due last week but I looked thru dealer websites and found $34 oil change coupon (tire rotation not included) and used it. I'll do A-1 once in a while.

Unless it's cold, or it's raining, or you've worked all week... or, for some of us, the time v. money factor just makes sense to let someone else do it.

I've got a floor jack, I've got great tools -- and no time to work on my car. If I had time to work on a car, I probably would spend it tinkering with something fun, and still pay the Acura dealer to rotate my tires.

Your mileage may of course vary....
