08 RL New Owner

Hello Acura Family. I am the proud owner of my 2008 acura RL. I purchased the white exterior with black interior with tech package, back up camera, fully loaded and all. A few add-ons are deck spoiler, wood shift knob and steering wheel, Full A-spec body Kit, 20 inch XIX rims, 8000k fog lights and led interior lights. I been a big fan of the RL for years and finally decided to purchase 1. It definitely was a task to find the 1 I wanted and took a couple of months to find an 08 with less than 20,000 miles in white with black interior because i didnt want the tan color but patience definitely paid off and I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!

"Exotic" is the perfect word for the RL! I have learned alot from browsing the forum and I only plan to learn more. I have done alot to my RL from buying it stock and I plan to do a little more in the near future like put 8000k low beams, led/hid reverse lights and maybe get a custom headlight job from Ironman's Infiniti G37's headlight specialist adding colored housing and painted corner lights with leds. Other than the lighting, i dont plan to do much more than that. The car is a beauty already

H&R springs might be a good idea. Otherwise you can post links to your pics wherever you're hosting them and we can modify to display.

Congrats! You'll love it if you haven't already decided that you do. I just traded in that car, a 2006 version though.

New car itch I suppose. I traded for a 2012 TL SH-AWD Advance. I actually traded a 2005 TL for the 2006 RL. When they decided to offer the TL with SH-AWD in 2009 I wanted one but didn't quite like the front. The 2012 TL made the decision for me.

Welcome to the forum RLCLAW. You sure will learn a lot on this site from mod to technics. We have same color combo. My RL is a 06. It did took me a while to search for white and black interior but with patience the outcome is great. I see you already have wheels and A-spec body kit so you're ahead of the game plus you have save money. So what's next mod on your RL?

So that means you're leaving us and spend more time at the TL section????? JK

I'm sure the 2012 TL will kick a$$. Do you plan on getting the AWD.

Oh, I'll still be checking in here now and then. You guys have been great and I still enjoy hearing what's going on with you and your RL's. But I'll have to put in my time at "the TL section" LOL!

I did spring for the SH-AWD with the Advance package. Should be picking the car up on Monday.

Yeah I did the same exact thing, traded in a 2005 TL for a 2006 RL and took the hit, big hit. I am starting to really get the itch as well, but will wait until the end of the year, we have a few bills we want to pay off and a trip to Jamaica to finance

@RLCLAW - very nice looking ride, very clean, congrats man. Now if I can give you a word of advice, watch out for parking in your area. We have heard from several people who live in your neck of the woods that car dings are a common occurrence. There is nothing in the car world I hate more then door dings !

Car looks sweet. Is it lowered? It looks like it's either on stock suspension or aspec? H&R springs would drop you and look sweet!

thanks for all the compliments guys. Currently, the car isnt lowered. I was thinking about H&R but i had to reall reconsider because the streets out here in the city are HORRIBLE not to mention, I usually have a car full and even now, I hear it rubbing when its 4 people full. So as much as I like the lowered look, I may just pass on it.
The next modification I plan to do is probably customize my Headlights with painted housing and Clear corners. I may (depending on how it come out) Carbon fiber the roof and purchase the Mugen carbon fiber wing.

Welcome fellow ny rl. Quick question why do you hear rubbing when your car is full. I rock 20"s and am dropped on h&r and my car os always full with no rub. What size tire you got and what is your offset. Need to get to the bottom of this, lol

yeah lol the "claw" goes wayyyy back cause I always rode a Yamaha R1 so id go by the name R1claw so I just kept it simple and added RL to it. But most call me by TG, Suave or my real name Dwayne

^^Yea I was looking at the width of RLClaw's tires and they look a little wider than what most people run.

RLClaw-Car looks great man. Loving the White on Black
