OK, no biggie. I can try to sell it but I'd like to see if it boots up and see what disc version is in it. Should I attempt this or am I asking for trouble?

 

Physically they are identical. Only difference then is firmware. they're both made in the same room. I'd certainly try it.

 

The RL system is designed for a rotary wheel, and the TSX system is designed for a touchscreen. I just don't see how it would work. But maybe a miracle will happen.

 

He asked if trying may cause damage.

 

If I install the RL unit which may load different firmware, can this be reversed when I re-install the TSX nav unit?

 

Update: installed the RL unit and it did boot up with the Acura splash screen which then transitioned to the enter code screen showing the rotary dial code prompt which wasn't functional. Ejected the disc, version 4.31C.
Reinstalled the TSX unit and no issues. Thanks to those who chimed in.
