06 RL Homelink Gone Wild

I just programmed the Homelink yesterday afternoon. Apparently the car is opening and closing the garage door by itself. I have heard the garage door cycle three times between 5:40 am and 6:00 am. First time I heard a cycle, then shortly after another cycle, went to investigate and the garage door was open, with the light on meaning it had been opened less than three minutes. I shut the door. Twenty minutes later another cycle and the garage door was open again.

My wife said she had been hearing the noise through the night, but thought it was the heater making a strange sound.

Anyone have any ideas?

This is an old (11 years) garage door opener, but I changed a failed circuit board about 2 years ago, and the Rev D. circuit board receiver has a much shorter range than the original. You had to drive up to within 10 feet. The original circuit board receiver allowed me to open and close from 75 feet away.

Erase and reprogram the HomeLink and see if it fixes the issue.

If not, have the dealer take a look. I had a problem with the HomeLink on my '04 MDX. The dealer replaced the unit and it's been fine since.

Sure hope you don't have an alarm system.
