I just bought a 2006 RL Tech and it only came with a compete Driver 2 key/remote and another just key insert which I assume was inserted into a Driver 1 remote at one time that I do not have. I have a good price on another Driver 2 remote. Can I use it?

 

You'd have to get the new one reprogrammed for your car, but I don't see why you couldn't. As long as the dealer programs it as Driver 1, it shouldn't be a problem.

 

You can use two driver 2 remotes, you just won't have different settings for different drivers. The dealer cannot program a driver 2 remote as driver 1. There is a physical difference inside the key that the car recognizes and it cannot be changed.
