This freakin car is a black hole trap. Whatever you buy next if you sell it, it will not have this option here or that option there...

We're stuck.

No complaints here

Next car I buy will be a NSX, so I'm not too worried if I don't have cooling seats/Navi

I hope all the maintenance has been done on it lol, by the way my alternator took a dump at 157k miles just a heads up. Might want to check those motor mounts too.

I hit a goldmine, bought it from an old white lady, whose husband took great care of it since day one of owning the car. They have service records from back then till 2015 and they change out two motor mounts back in march. Car's exterior and interior was well kept. I am just curious if they update the PCM software on the transmission. Now when i drive it the car seems to have a slight light shifting from either 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd or maybe I am not putting enough gas as I dont have a heavy feet when driving an automatic. The transmission service was done at 137k now its 163 so I am planning to do the full transmission and rear differential flush 3x3 in a couple of weeks to see if that helps out. To all the current owners with over 150k mileage 2nd gen RL, how is your car running and what am I expect to do or replace in the next service.

Just curious but why was her ethnicity necessary to mention?

Mine runs flawlessly now that everything is fixed. Just cosmetic stuff at this point and trying to figure out how the hell to get these seats to soften up.

Not to be racist, but I am asian and my experience older white people tends to take better care of their car than others. So dont over think about my comment sorry if that offended anyone.

did you buy this one from Escondido,CA?

FYI.. there's a airbag recall on this car... bring it to your local dealer and get a free rental for a few months...

at the old white lady comment and discussion thereafter.

Sounds like you need an ecu reset. Modern automatic transmissions will try to learn your driving style and adjust the car's shift points accordingly. An old white lady will feather the pedal, and achieve maximum MPG along with minimum performance. I haven't mentioned this in a while, so I don't remember all the specifics. The one method I do remember is to put the car in manual mode at low speed with a long stretch of highway in front of you (like an on ramp). Shift up as far as the car will allow and press the pedal to the floor. (You will be surprised how far it actually goes.) Hold the pedal on the floor for as long as you can safely allow. You may have to repeat a few times.

What this does is remind the car what wide open throttle (WOT) looks like. Little old white lady never hit WOT, I guarantee it. The drive by wire system will "forget" what WOT looks like and adjust the ECU accordingly. This method will reset it and should increase the response on your gas pedal as well as inhibit lower RPM shift points.

I think its Escondido not sure because it was in Poway area high up on the hills. The car runs great but just for a peace of mind I am just going to do the transmission fluid and rear diff for a peace of mind and see if I need to reset the ecu again. BTW anyone who still have their RL and running around 180k+ I would like to hear there feedback and chime in if there engine still runs well like when it was 60k+. I would like to keep this car 10yrs+ because I love this model the most like I love my integra which I had ever since I was 19yr old till this day.

I've bought the Lexol cleaning and conditioning including a 100% horse hair brush as recommended but I still cannot seem to get it out.
Try leatherique. It requires a lot of heat so make sure u Follows instructions.

I did, I even tried saddle soap and hardly made a dent in it.
