06 Acura Rl will not move forward

Purchased a wrecked 06 RL
Minor front end damage drivers head light is shattered and front bumper is damaged. The real problem is that the car will not move when i put it in DRive. The engine will rev but the car will not move. There are no engine codes. The car will reverse and move backward (at a snails pace) , at HIGH rpm. Is it a bad transmission or sensor/switch etc.

I'd say torque converter... but there are way to many variables to know.

Have you checked the transfluid? To you hear the car shifting into drive?

obviously, we cant inspect the car over the internet, so we have no clue what the problem could be.

you'll need to narrow down suspected culprits.
-maybe axles
-maybe transmission is fucked up
-maybe just a sensor

Could you be a little more specific.

Nah, mine drove away from the accident. Reverse first, then drive.

I hope you bought it knowing that it wouldn't move forward! And if that is the case, then I hope you got a really really really good price on it!

As others have said, it's kind of hard to troubleshoot over the Internet, but I would say a tranny and torque converter replacement should fix it! ;-) Around $4K should do it.

Check the wire harness on the transmission side. Make sure you have no wires pinched or cut from the accident.
