Smile Turn off the 'auto' control position

Hello there, u bought a great car. First, I would advise if you enter underground parking lots or tunnels day in day out...turn off the 'auto' setting for the headlights. The HID headlamps go on & off steadily and will burn out prematurely. They are expensive and a b.... to replace. If the battery is more than 3 or 4 years old, dump it for a new one. I learned the hard way about that little problem. Other than that use premium fuel and you will enjoy the luxury. Have fun.

1/Hunt down the Nav and Radio codes (before fooling with the battery)
2/Download the big manual available on this forum
3/Have a look at how low it is in the front, and remember how low it is when you drive over stuff or park into a stop or low barrier
4/ Play around in a big empty parking lot, you may find the turning radius a little wider than you expect

Register the car VIN on MyAcura.com There you will have access to online and pdf downloadable manuals as well as feature tips and instructional videos. You can also make dealer appointments and maintain dealer service records (assuming you choose to use Acura service). Further you can access Acura HFL for information on phone model compatabilty, features and use.

For parts, there are several online vendors on the forum for replacement parts, OEM trim pieces, etc.

For everything else, search this forum. Very little 'new stuff' has surfaced since the 2009 MMC. Most everything has been covered here by original owners and repeated multiple times as second owners joined the forum.

Last, and most important IMHO, know the car for what it IS not for what others think it SHOULD be. If you do that, you will not be disappointed, and this car can be enchanting.

How's the reliability on the 2005/2006 RL's? I need to get some under $12k that'll be good for my newborns arrival.

When driving around an underground parking lot the first notification that there is a car coming is the recognition of the headlights. If you turn them off of Auto then the car that's in a rush to get out may hit you because they never saw you coming. Remember, your headlights are for others to see you not for you to see them.
Changing light bulbs is a lot cheaper than fixing your car and I park in an underground lot, drive at night every day and am on my second set of headlights in 7 years.
