05 rear door handle swap

With the 05 rl, only the front doors have the touch sensitive handles to unlock the doors and trunk, which can be frustrating when you need to get into the back doors first. And I know now to touch the front passenger handle first to unlock the doors, but when on my driver side, driver door handle only opens that driver door, and I have to open then push the unlock with my hands full.

So what I was thinking was to find touch sensitive front door handles and putting them on the rear doors.
Has anyone thought/done this yet?

Change your lock setting to "unlock all doors" in the MID menu under "Keyless Access".

Much faster, slightly cheaper.

But I still need to touch the front doors to open the back, trying to eliminate that extra step

Yes, but I eliminated one of your mentioned dilemmas making the annoyance considerably less.

In response to your idea, you will have to do A LOT of thinking about how to tie these new handles into the existing ones without interference. I can almost assure you the current system was difficult enough for the design engineers with two handles. Are you willing to tear apart your doors, dive into a wiring diagram, and reverse engineer the system to come up with a solution? If so, do a write up. I want to know how to take the door panels off.

four keyless door handles would be hot though. the girls would go crazy!

but replacing all 4 like heavy rl said would be bank. and there would be more unlocking and locking going on when washing the car.
