Wink Two 2016 RDX,Same Prob>Check Tire Pressure<

Our two 2016 RDX have a constant pressure check blinking. Started in both within a few days after cold came to Carolinas.
Even when psi in front tires reach/exceed psi in back tires, warning remains.
Suggestions ?

Thanking you in advance.

The pressure alert is caused when the tire pressure drops below a minimum value in one or more tires. It has nothing to do with the front tires being at a higher pressure than the rears, or the right being lower than the left or anything else other than one (or more) tires being below the minimum value established by Acura.

The temperature in the Carolinas dropped. Cooler temperatures cause a drop in tire pressure (that's a law of physics). The pressure drop is probably enough to cause the warning.

So what pressure does the MID show in each tire?

Should be 33 psi. I thought 6 lbs was the trigger point.5lbs is probably close enough to trigger warning.Add 1 lb to the 28 lb tire and see if warning goes away.

There is the reason for the warning being on. Those pressures are too low. Adjust the tire pressures to the match the sticker located on the drivers door frame ( between the drivers door and the rear passenger door).

Raising the pressure to the values on the door frame will not only stop the warning from coming on, but prevent the Ford Explorer/Firestone phenomenon.

For 2016, should be 35/35 and 33/33, this should be the minimal PSI when you start the vehicle.
