klunky, and parts
Hi all. My 2014 with 155,000 miles, has really started to make a lot of klunking noises when going over even the smallest of bumps. It has been klunky over bumps for a looong time but its getting to be ridiculous.
My mechanic uses NAPA parts. I am wondering what parts he will want to replace, and will the soft ride quality be negatively affected? I am worried the aftermarket shocks/struts he will probably want to install will not be as soft as OEM.
Has anyone been thru this? Should I tell him to just replace the mounting bushings? The shocks still work properly.

You should ask what he thinks, and if there's multiple brands he knows are good to use. Unless you are replacing those parts for performance gain (which you aren't), then your mechanic will use parts that maintain the soft ride or make it even better in some cases. You can get OEM parts but it could take some time. Just talk to him and see what his professional opinion is.
