Hi,
on my Camry I applied kind of rubber protection under the car and it lasted very well without any more layers. Unfortunately the company - Ziebart - disappeared since 2002 and I don't find something similar. I am looking for the same rubber compound that was sprayed.
Can anyone help please?

 

Ziebart.....there is a name from the past. One of the reasons they are no longer around is, they are no longer needed. The auto manufacturers have greatly improved their design and rust proofing of metals on new vehicles. If you look at the warranty on new cars, they will list a bumper to bumper warranty, a powertrain warranty, and a rust (perforation) warranty. In many cases the rust warranty is 7-10 years (or 70K to 100K miles).
I remember working at a car dealership when I was in high school and spraying the "under coating" on new cars before delivery. One guy wanted the "lumpy" type of under coating on his car, so we sprayed the car, threw up "speedy dry", and then sprayed more under coating on the car. He probably had 10 pounds of under coating by the time we were done.

 

I had the "lifetime" window tint from ziebart. The tint outlasted the business.
