Problem with 2017 RDX Advance AUTO wipers

I have a 2017 RDX w/Advance Package, which includes the Automatic, rain sensing wipers. Question, shouldn't the wipers STOP when the rain stops? Mine do not. Even on the "low" auto setting, they continue to swipe every 15 seconds or so, long after the rain stops. I even tested it on a 95 degree sunny day--turned on AUTO, and they still continued to come on and swipe every 15 or so seconds. Sensor doesn't seem to be working at all. The owners manual seems to hint that they should stop when the rain stops (they did on my previous car--Mercedes C class). Maybe I am wrong, but if they don't shut off when the rain stops, what is the AUTO setting for? How is this any different than the standard intermittent wipers on lesser models? Maybe my sensor is bad? For a brand new car, I wouldn't think this is the case, but wanted to get some feedback before I took it to the dealer.

Thanks!

Definetly should stop after it stops raining, or when you put it in auto mode on a clear sunny day. That's what I gather from the manual, and also what I experience with my 2017 Advanced.

In my '16 Advance, they didn't stop. Acted like interval wipers the whole time. Dealer replaced the rain sensor. They work fine now. Make sure you don't have anything stuck to the window or on the dash in about a 30 degree cone projecting from the bottom of the mirror. It'll screw up the lane keeping function, too.

It took a week to get the parts, and they screwed something else up. The remote start doesn't work now.
